Rupini Deepa Rajagopalan

Rupini Deepa Rajagopalan is Head of ESG Office at Berenberg Wealth and Asset Management (WAM) since 2018. Founded in 1590, Berenberg is one of Europe´s leading privately owned banks with its Wealth and Asset Management, Investment Bank and Corporate Banking divisions. She is responsible for WAM´s ESG policy, strategy, investment positioning, integration, product offering and innovation. She created Berenberg WAM´s proxy voting policy and developed their engagement and stewardship strategy. Before her role as Head of ESG Office, she was a Junior Professor of Business Administration especially in Social Investment at the University of Hamburg. Prior to that she has worked in various positions for banks and consulting firms in the USA and Malaysia. Dr. Rajagopalan received her doctorate in finance from the University of Reading in UK and is member of the DVFA Sustainable Investing Commission.
